A Year of Fun & Frolic

Our school calendar is packed with events and activities which engage all our students. We invite schools from our various campuses as well as students from other schools to participate in these events.

Bashiruddin Babukhan Memorial Football & Basket Tournament

In fond memory of Late. Mr. Bashiruddin Babukhan an Inter-School tournament has been started in the previous year

Orientation Workshop for Teachers and Parents

Teacher Orientation and In-service Training Workshop for teachers is conducted by the Director Education. Training is given on the following areas-Connecting and Bonding of the entire staff, Empowering with the Tools of Teaching for new staff, Enrichment through Holistic Domains, Creating an Awareness of the Glendale Philosophy and Early Childhood Education workshop.

MI/BCL Parents Workshop

At the onset, of an academic year, a parenting workshop on MI/ BCL is conducted by the Director Education. The aim is to provide them with an insight on Glendale’s philosophy & teaching methodology and its implementation and the role of parents as ‘Partners-in-Education’ in the process

Vanamahostav

'Go Green' Initiative - the philosophy of the school is well evident during Vanamahotsav celebrations. Activities include bamboo saplings plantation, students and the staff come dressed in green and there is a Fancy Dress competition, Card making and skits for the younger children. For the seniors, there is a lot of fun and ordered chaos with salad making, Poster Making, Collage Making, Ikebana, Body Art and Photography.

Cross Country

It is the first sporting event at the campus every academic year where grades V to X participate with enthusiasm in an array of races.

Investiture Ceremony

The first formal event of the academic year is the Investiture Ceremony which commences with the March Past and the Student Council is invested with the batch of responsibility as School Leaders. Our Partners-in-Education join us in this celebration.

Independence Day

The celebrations take place in the midst of pomp, show and pride. The Guard of Honour, the March Past, the Tableau Presentations and the Patriotic Songs are all a vision to behold.

Glendale Literary Fest

Glendale Literary Fest comprises Cross S’Words' and Mind Space. Cross S’ words' is modelled on Cambridge debate and introduced for the first time in the twin cities by Glendale and since eight years has become a popular annual event. Mind Space is blend of Inflection - an elocution competition and Papyrus - An essay writing competition. Additional feature of the fest is Hindi Sahitya Utsav comprising Poem recitation and Elocution. All prominent schools participate in the event.

Glendale Trophy

An Inter-School event hosted every year providing exposure to competitive cricket to many young cricketers who aspire to play for State/National level.

Grand Parents Day

Grandparents are our heritage and are the most essential members of our family and community. We celebrate this day to honour our grandparents and to express our gratitude for being their children’s children. The children entertain their grandparents with different performances and a number of games are played to enhance family bonding.

Night Out

The night camp at Glendale is a two day adventure camp comprising activities like rappelling, flying fox, burma rope, zorbing ball, archery, tent pitching and climbing the commando net. The highlights of the camp are treasure hunt and bonfire.

Athletic Meet

'Open Challenge’ - a two day Inter-School sporting event witnesses an array of relays, sprints, shot put, long jump and high jump. The agenda of these two days is fun and complete sporting spirit.

Kidsports

An early childhood Sports Day for LKG, UKG and Class It is a unique sporting feat where the tiny tots showcase zeal and discipline in giving their best. Parents Race is also a popular part of the whole show.

P.D. Workshop for Teachers

Director Education, Ms. Anjum Babukhan reinforces the tools of teaching through her professional development workshop as 'Sharing of Best Practices' at the end of every term.

Republic Day Celebration

It is celebrated with patriotic fervour and presentations on the importance of the day to paying tributes to the valuable personalities behind free and republic India.

Satrang - The Art Festival

Drawing inspiration from the highly popular movie 'Taare Zameen Par', Glendale Academy International has been organizing an annual arts festival 'Satrang' since 2007. The event has had a terrific response from the students parents, staff and alumni and their creative expression has superbly authenticated the films tagline, 'Every Child is Special'.

Kinder Wonder

The Graduation Ceremony is a very emotional event for the parents of UKG students who witness their little ones donning the robes and the caps receiving their scrolls. Kinder Wonder is an extension of this event where children of Grades K-1 present dance and drama.

Razzmatazz

A cultural program for the Primary students with a theme every year wherein they showcase their talents through visual and performing arts.

Parent Open Challenge

A sporting event exclusively for our Partners-in-Education. A visual delight to watch parents displaying their expertise in games like Cricket, Basketball, Swimming, Tennis, Throw ball, Chess.

Spring Festival

A fun-filled day celebrating art, talent and culinary skills of the tiny tots with their parents. They put up eat joints, games station, art & craft stalls.

DEAR Program

DEAR - DROP EVERTHING AND READ is an endeavour to develop reading skills. The entire school from management staff, students to support staff take part in this initiative. They drop everything and read for 30 minutes.

Language Cultural Programs

To celebrate the uniqueness and diversity of languages; the Urdu, Telugu and Hindi departments organise cultural presentations. The events are known as Youmme- Urdu, Telugu Velugu and Umang-Hindi Diwas.

Farewell

A memorable evening planned for the passing out Grade X students by their juniors as they gear up for new endeavours in the outside world.

Thanksgiving

An act of expressing gratitude to the support staff for their untiring services throughout the year. A day’s break the routine to enjoy and highlight their talents.
